Wooding Weekend in Wild West Wales – proposal
Join us for a working weekend felling chopping and hauling firewood for the winter
In exchange we get to stay in a lovely part of Wales, get to work with horses, sample “life on the land”, walk the cliff paths, and hopefully dip in the sea. A sort of “Wooding WOOF”!
Two good friends, Lucy and Jim, are experimenting with horse-powered subsistence agriculture, they’re possibly unique in the UK! They have a field where we can camp and cater for ourselves. They enjoy visits from people who are on the “same page” politically and will be interested to discuss their long-term plans founding a rural communal-farming project.
We have a minibus with nine seats and lots of cargo space. Travel cost would be roughly £10 per person if we fill all the seats. I have a gazebo and complete kitchen equipment
Catering will be veggie or vegan and we can cater for wheat-free and other diets with advice
We’ll need to plan our meals and stock up on essentials which will be basic costs
You’ll need to bring your camping equipment and don’t forget your torch!
Good idea to bring practical warm clothes, boots, waterproofs, protective gloves, lumber tools, & musical instruments!
Proposed dates in October are:-
Friday 9th to Monday 12th OR Friday 16th to Monday 19th
