CoResist and Reclaim the Power are co-hosting a weekend of talks, trainings, meditation, music and direct-action skill-shares in the lead up to the UN climate talks at COP21 in Paris in December and an earth rights convergence in Bristol called ‘Symbiosis’ in January 2016.

We will be sewing the seeds to grow strong collaborative explorations, campaigns, demonstrations, direct actions and building a movement that seeks to reveal, articulate and uphold the rights of nature.

So, if you’re someone who wants to find out more or get involved – either for COP21 in Paris or organising for earth rights in Bristol beyond – then come along and be a part of an an awesome and transformative weekend.

Saturday: 10 – 6pm
Saturday evening: music and dancing
Sunday: 10 – 4pm
(Full agenda coming soon: open workshops so pop in at any time)

Are you concerned about the climate crisies? Are you keen to channel your voice and energy into creative actions that support and defend all life? Would you like to learn more about how we can act at this pivotal time, as individuals and as a community, both locally and globally?

In Paris in December hundreds of thousands of people from around the world will be converging for the UN climate talks, participating in discussions and daily assemblies, art collectives, public performance interventions, mass mobilisations and creative direct actions. Prior to this over the weekend of the 29/30 November mass marches and mobilisations will be taking place around the world, including Bristol and London. Since the first set of talks 21 years ago CO2 emissions have risen by 60%, and climate scientists are already claiming that the pledges made so far this year are woefully inadequate. Now, in an unprecedented and unified call for action by a diverse range of NGOs, unions, radical collectives and faith groups, hundreds of thousands are mobilising for Paris to collaborate in mass creative disobedience, in the weeks preceding the talks, and on the final day – D12.

A climate justice movement is rising (even faster than the temperatures and sea levels!) and over the weekend of the 7 & 8 November we’re going to be spending some together planning how we want to help bring a special Bristol flavour to Paris, whilst strengthening the networks we have to continue working together locally on our return. The weekend will be a mixture of participatory workshops, trainings and discussions, where we re-imagine the world we’re living in at these challenging times. We’ll also be getting up to speed on logistics for Paris, about access, accommodation, transport and legal training, whilst getting skilled up on the tools and training we’ll need to make excellent actions emerge.
