The UoB Student Assembly with support from Bristol Marxist Society is happy to present its meeting for the ‘Day of Action’ on the 14th October at The Robin Hood Pub.
“Last year when the government tried to privatization the student loan book, a mass grassroots movement led by the Student Assembly Against Austerity forced a government u-turn. We can win again – but only if we build a strong and united student fight back!” -National Student Assembly
With the upcoming cuts to Maintenance grants, the National Student Assembly is calling on students from all societies and backgrounds to hold a day of action on October 14th. The aim of this meeting is to gather our resources and discuss the possibilties of what we can achieve within the University.
We are calling on all societies whether you’re political or non-political to join us in uniting against both the Tory government and those who wish make lives worse for poorer students.
The Robin Hood Pub is located half way down St Michaels’s Hill, opposite the university. We will be meeting upstairs, however someone will be on the door to greet students as they come in.
Drinks can be bought from the bar and brought upstairs.
