Date(s) - Sat 9 December
12:00 pm - 3:30 pm
An event for anyone who wants to keep their head above water whilst they try and change the world.
Vegan brunch will be served up between 12 and 1pm, followed by a listening skillshare, looking at two different ways to give attention and support. At the end (between 3 and 3.30) we encourage anyone who wants to, to stick around and help plan our next sessions….
We are a new group formed by anarchists and other anti-capitalists. We want to create a network to share skills, support, ideas and experiences. We want all of us to be able to steer ourselves through burnout, despair, depression, anxiety and more. To make sure we can bring down capitalism – before it brings down us!
Not sure about the connection between capitalism and mental health? This video introduces some of the key ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVQ4LIp39Xo
We are not professionals, and we aren’t able to replicate or replace essential mental health services.
Everything said in the group should be treated as confidential and not repeated.
A quiet room will be available for anyone who needs to chill out. You are free to come and go as you need to.
We are excited to see where this could lead, discussions, peer support, coping skills, mutual aid, sign posting for services both radical and mainstream. Most importantly we hope it’s a space to speak, and to listen.
You don’t have to be an anarchist, but the group does run on anarchist principles – we aim to organise together as equals.
Kebele has a safer spaces policy and we ask that you respect it and each other. For example, think about how what you are saying may impact others – and give appropriate content warnings for potentially triggering content.
