The global food system is bankrupt.
More than enough food is produced to feed the world and up to a third is wasted. So why are a billion people going hungry around the world? And how are people fighting back in Bristol and around the world?
With speakers from Uganda and Bristol, this event hopes to link up the global and local struggles for a fairer food system that can feed us all in dignity.
Join us to discuss how we can create a just food system that is good for us all.
Speakers: Bridget Mugambe, Alliance for food sovereignty in Africa; Maddy Longhurst, Blue Finger Alliance; Aisha Dodwell Global Justice Now.
Food will be provided from 6.30pm with short films showing. Discussion starts at 7pm.
