Royate Hill Community Orchard
Royate Hill Community Orchard presents their annual Pruning and Grafting workshops.
Fruit Trees Pruning workshop is on Sunday February 7th – please bring secateurs and pruning saws if you have them.
Grafting Fruit Trees workshop is on Sunday March 6th – please bring a good sharp knife or stanley knife. To find out what Grafting is see here.
Workshops run from 11am to 3pm. Please bring vegan food to share for lunch. The Royate Hill Community Orchard & Allotment is located on the Royate Hill Allotments, just off Royate Hill, in Easton, BS5, close to the cycle path – see the map!
Both workshops will be led by Tim Foster, and are co-ordinated by Mike Feingold.
The workshops are free, but spaces are limited, so you must book a place in advance. Please note that preference will be given to those involved in Community growing projects. To request a place on either or both workshops please contact Mike on 07768915423 or mikefeingold[at]blueyonder.co.uk
Participants are encouraged to take away ‘rootstocks’ after the Grafting workshop, but will be asked to pay approx £2.50 per rootstock.
Note: Volunteer Workdays on the orchard site continue every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, from 11am to around 4/5pm – February 6th and 20th; March 5th and 19th, and so on.
