The European project seems to be moving from crisis to crisis without offering convincing solutions to some of the most pressing problems of our times. Is European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker right in asking for more ‘Europe’ as well as more ‘Union’; or does continuing austerity, right-wing populism and rising numbers of refugees demand a fundamentally different approach.
A panel of experts with different perspectives from politics and academia will discuss the future of the European Union. The discussions will be wide-ranging, but in particular will consider the forthcoming UK referendum on EU membership; the nature of Euroscepticism both in the UK and elsewhere; and how the future of the Eurozone might look like.
There will also be time for questions and comments from the audience.
