Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre
With the support of Hebron International Resource Network, players from Easton Cowgirls football team travelled to Palestine in October last year. Alongside the inspiring experience of playing football with a wide variety of women from across the West Bank, the team heard stories and witnessed some of the daily realities for Palestinians living under Israeli occupation.
Easton Cowgirls have produced a short film documenting the trip and we’d like to invite you to join us for its Bristol premiere at the Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre on Saturday 26th September. Alongside the 40 minute film screening, members of the team will provide an introduction to the Easton Cowboys & Cowgirls club and answer your questions about our experiences in Palestine.
After the film there will be food with a Middle East theme, coffees and cakes etc and a chance to socialise and continue discussions over delicious food in the café area.
There will also be an opportunity to support both HIRN and the Women in Hebron embroidery co-operative as we will be selling a small range of gifts and t-shirts at the event. You can also find out about ways to get involved and volunteering opportunities at the museum.
This is a free screening but all donations gratefully received. If you would like to join us for the evening meal there is a £5 charge to cover costs.
Come along and join us at the Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre on Saturday 26th September from 4.30pm. Everyone welcome so please share widely and invite friends.
