At last we’ve presented a Bristol City Council Petition with nearly 4000 signatures and have a slot for a debate in the March full council meeting about the impact of TTIP on small local businesses and local decision making in the face of multinational might.
Birmingham has just declared itself a TTIP Free Zone, the 35th local authority standing up – so why shouldn’t Bristol?
Please come with your banners, cameras, phones and voices to greet the councillors as they arrive for a 5pm question time with the Mayor. The full council meeting starts at 6pm and we can all go in to present our case.
Outside, there will be speech bubbles to write your questions to George Ferguson for photo opportunities. The more photos we take and tweet/ place on facebook – the better!
38 Degrees STOP TTIP estate agents boards will be in gardens lining the councillors’ approach and Global Justice Now will bring theiir massive ‘Stop TTIP, Save our Democracy’ banner – so we need your support!
THIS IS OUR LAST BIG PUSH – SO PLEASE COME!
