The Gambian Baby Fund is holding it’s first charity fundraising event at the Station on the 14th of November to raise awareness & money towards it’s upcoming maternity wing project in the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital, Banjul, the capital of The Gambia. It promises to be a fun filled day with great music, great food & all for a great cause! Music from:

We Steal Thieves

There will be the two founders of the charity, Howard Williams & Noel Dunkley giving talks on the current situation within the Gambia as well as the building plans that are currently in motion & the charities plans for the future. There will also be information about the history, culture & people about the vibrant West African country that is The Gambia. If that all wasn’t enough we have the highest quality BBQ food provided by Embers BBQ & also the best bagels in town provided by Bagelboy!

Every penny raised will go directly towards the construction of a brand new maternity wing in Banjul so come down & have a great time, support a great cause & make a difference to the babies & mothers of the Gambia! 🙂

Tickets to the event itself can be found at this link for just £6 (plus £1.01 service fee)

We also need to generate funds to fund the raiser! The Station have very kindly given us a discounted charity rate however we still need to raise funds to hire security & toilets etc. We have raised £1500 towards it already & have calculated that we need around £1500 more to secure everything. A link to the fundraiser for the fundraiser can be found here: by donating here it will still be going directly to the charity as we will make it back with ticket sales however we still need to raise it beforehand to cover the costs before the event so please donate so that we can make this happen 🙂

Come on down for a brilliant day! 🙂
