Date(s) - Sat 21 October
11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Royate Hill Community Orchard
Possibly the last apple-pressing day of the season, with apples to take away and eat/cook too!
Full apple-pressing session all day from 11am to 5pm – using two apple-presses, one is smaller/hand-operated and suitable for kids to use!
Wear old clothes as it’s messy.
We aim to eat a shared lunch around 1.30pm, so please bring some vegan (or at least veggie) food to share. In the event of rain…we retreat to the roundhouse up the top of the orchard.
Bring a sterilised container such as 1L or 2L glass or plastic bottle to take some juice away in, and a bag for apples/pears etc.
There is also grounds maintenance to do around the Orchard & Allotment!!!
We welcome donations of apples for pressing, bring them along. If you have a large quantity of unwanted apples…they could be collected – contact us.
The orchard generally has a stock of apple juice, cider & cider vinegar available for a reasonable donation (donations fund the orchard). Contact us to discuss quantities & pick-up.
